Master thesis at the Chair for Innovation Management

In your Master theses you will address issues and problems in the broad field of International Innovation Management. We have a strong preference for empirical work. You can either suggest your own topics or we will offer you an interesting topic for your Master thesis.

Please carefully read our guideline for a master thesis at our Chair.

When you register here please provide as much information as possible regarding your previous experiences related to Innovation Management. Please let us know which courses / seminar you attended and if you have work experience in the field.

We will contact you via  e-mail by the end of February (summer term) or the end of July (winter term) at the latest.

Assignment Procedure for IBE-students and students from other programs (except for HMM)

  1. Registration in advance is mandatory for interested students. Please use our registration form that will be available on our website from January 15th - February 15th (summer term) and June 15th - July  15th (winter term). 
  2. After the registration period an assistant will contact you in order to set up an appointment where the next steps, formal requirements, volume, etc. will be clarified.

Assignment Procedure for HMM-students

  1. We supervise HMM-Master theses only after successful central application. In order to be eligible for writing a thesis at the Chair, you must have attended a master´s lecture organized by the Chair (for example IMOT, MIM/MIP) and successfully have written the exam (with a grade at least 'Gut' / 'Good').
  2. Please apply by using the central allocation system of the Institute Marketing & Management; detailed information and a link for registration can be found at the homepage of the Chair for Corporate Management (https://uf-lehre.uni-hohenheim.de/). Please note the respective deadlines for each semester.
  3. In case of successful assignment, you will be informed by the system to which chair you have been assigned. If you are assigned to our Chair, an assistant will contact you to arrange a personal talk. Hereby, the next steps, formalities, volume, etc. will be discussed.
  4. The topic assignment will be arranged in personal talks between you and Prof. Ebersberger. The title and topic of the thesis will be compiled in collaboration. Topics which have been specified in detail in advance as well as formulated research questions in advance are not desired.
