Djerdj Horvat

Djerdj Horvat joined the chair as an external habilitation candidate in 2021.

He holds a degree in Business Administration, specializing in international innovation and entrepreneurship. Djerdj completed his doctoral thesis on "Absorptive Capacity in Foreign Subsidiaries of Multinational Companies" at the Freie Universität Berlin, within the Department of Innovation Management.

Since 2014, Djerdj has been working as a researcher and project manager at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI within the Competence Center for Innovation and Knowledge Economy (Business Unit for Industrial Change and New Business Models).

Djerdj's research focuses on industrial and manufacturing innovation, technology strategies, business model innovation, digital transformation, and the development of capabilities based on human-technology complementarities.

Julia Kühl

Julia Kühl joined the chair as an external doctoral candidate in April 2022.

Her research interest lies at the intersection of sustainability and innovation. She holds a M.Sc. in International Sustainability Management from ESCP Europe, as well as a B.Sc. in Technology and Management from the Technical University of Munich.

Previously, she gained practical experience during 2 years of working as a management consultant, with a focus on sustainability topics, including circular economy and sustainable agriculture.

In her free time, she trains for a triathlon and enjoys going to the cinema.
