Publication of the Chapter "Competences for a Great, Big, and Beautiful Tomorrow? Sustainability Competences Within Innovation-Dedicated Further Education"  [10.10.24]

We are excited to announce that the chapter co-authored by Louisa Mach and Prof. Bernd Ebersberger has been published in the newly released book, "Innovation in Responsible Management Education"! The chapter is titled: "Competences for a Great, Big, and Beautiful Tomorrow? Sustainability Competences Within Innovation-Dedicated Further Education."

This chapter explores sustainability-related competences in innovation management within adult education programs, emphasizing the importance of competence-based learning, which integrates knowledge, skills, and attitudes. It highlights a study that analyzed 72 innovation management-related further education programs in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, conducted between June and December 2022. The findings clearly show the inclusion of sustainability competences in innovation-related further education, with Strategic Competence being the most prevalent and Normative Competence the least frequent.

This research significantly contributes to the intersection of further education in innovation management, responsible management education, and competence-based learning. It underscores the relevance of sustainability competences in adult education and calls for the continued development of sustainable educational practices in lifelong learning.
